#3 in an ongoing exploration/adaptation of ancient Chinese landscape style which I refer to as vertical perspective (no true vanishing lines, but a stacking of diminishing size and detail). This style is strongly attractive because of the technical freedom it allows in emphasizing balance and content over accurate realism (not to mention the talent required thereof). The theme is, again, of simpler pastoral life with Tao (the void) running through and connecting.
